1과“그를 이끌고 밖으로 나가 이르시되

     하늘을 우러러 뭇별을 셀 수 있나 보라

     또 그에게 이르시되 네 자손이 이와 같으리라

     아브람이 여호와를 믿으니 여호와께서 이를 그의 의로 여기시고”(창 15:5-6).

“Then [God] brought [Abraham] outside and said,

‘Look now toward heaven, and count the stars

if you are able to number them.’

And He said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be.’

And he believed in the Lord,

and He accounted it to him for righteousness” (Genesis 15:5, 6, NKJV).

2과 “여호와를 경외하는 것이 지혜의 근본이요 거룩하신 자를 아는 것이 명철이니라”

       (잠 9:10).

“ ‘The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding’ ”

   (Proverbs 9:10, NKJV).

3과 “내가 비옵는 것은 이 사람들만 위함이 아니요

      또 그들의 말로 말미암아 나를 믿는 사람들도 위함이니

      아버지여, 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것 같이

      그들도 다 하나가 되어 우리 안에 있게 하사

      세상으로 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하옵소서”(요 17:20-21).

“ ‘I do not pray for these alone,

but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me,

and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,

that the world may believe that You sent Me’ ” (John 17:20, 21, NKJV).

4과 “그 뜻의 비밀을 우리에게 알리신 것이요

      그의 기뻐하심을 따라 그리스도 안에서

      때가 찬 경륜을 위하여 예정하신 것이니

      하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이 다

      그리스도 안에서 통일되게 하려 하심이라”(엡 1:9-10).

“Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him” (Ephesians 1:9, 10, NKJV).

5과 “그들이 사도의 가르침을 받아

      서로 교제하고 떡을 떼며

      오로지 기도하기를 힘쓰니라”(행 2:42).

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship,

in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42, NKJV).

6과 “몸은 하나인데 많은 지체가 있고 몸의 지체가 많으나 한 몸임과 같이

     그리스도도 그러하니라”(고전 12:12).

“For as the body is one and has many members,

but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body,

so also is Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12, NKJV).

7과 “누구든지 그리스도와 합하기 위하여 침례를 받은 자는 그리스도로 옷 입었느니라

      너희는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유인이나 남자나 여자나 다

      그리스도 예수 안에서 하나이니라”(갈 3:27-28).

“For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; 

for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:27, 28, NKJV).

8과 “다른 이로써는 구원을 받을 수 없나니

      천하 사람 중에 구원을 받을 만한 다른 이름을

     우리에게 주신 일이 없음이라 하였더라”(행 4:12).

“ ‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name

under heaven given among men by which we must be saved’ ” (Acts 4:12, NKJV).

9과 “이 말은 스스로 함이 아니요

      그 해의 대제사장이므로 예수께서 그 민족을 위하시고

      또 그 민족만 위할 뿐 아니라

     흩어진 하나님의 자녀를 모아 하나가 되게 하기 위하여

      죽으실 것을 미리 말함이러라”(요 11:51-52).

“Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied 

that Jesus would die for the nation, and not for that nation only, 

but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad” (John 11:51, 52, NKJV).

10과 “곧 우리가 원수 되었을 때에 그의 아들의 죽으심으로 말미암아

       하나님과 화목하게 되었은즉 화목하게 된 자로서는

       더욱 그의 살아나심으로 말미암아 구원을 받을 것이니라”(롬 5:10).

“For if when we were enemies

we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more,

having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life” (Romans 5:10, NKJV).

11과 “또 보니 다른 천사가 공중에 날아가는데 땅에 거주하는 자들

       곧 모든 민족과 종족과 방언과 백성에게 전할 영원한 복음을 가졌더라

       그가 큰 음성으로 이르되 하나님을 두려워하며 그에게 영광을 돌리라

       이는 그의 심판의 시간이 이르렀음이니

       하늘과 땅과 바다와 물들의 근원을 만드신 이를 경배하라 하더라”(계 14:6-7).

“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water’ ” (Revelation 14:6, 7, NKJV).

12과 “너희 중에는 그렇지 않아야 하나니

       너희 중에 누구든지 크고자 하는 자는 너희를 섬기는 자가 되고

       너희 중에 누구든지 으뜸이 되고자 하는 자는 너희의 종이 되어야 하리라”(마 20:26-27).​

         “ ‘Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave’ ” (Matthew 20:26, 27, NKJV).13

13과 “우리는 그의 약속대로 의가 있는 곳인 새 하늘과 새 땅을 바라보도다”(벧후 3:13).

“Nevertheless we, according to His promise,

look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells”

(2 Peter 3:13, NKJV).
