1과 “너희는 이 세대를 본받지 말고 오직 마음을 새롭게 함으로 변화를 받아

하나님의 선하시고 기뻐하시고 온전하신 뜻이 무엇인지 분별하도록 하라”(롬 12:2).

“Do not be conformed to this world,

but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, t

hat you may prove what is that good and acceptable

and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:2, NKJV).

2과 “가시떨기에 뿌려졌다는 것은 말씀을 들으나

세상의 염려와 재물의 유혹에 말씀이 막혀 결실하지 못하는 자요”(마 13:22).

“ ‘Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word,

and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word,

and he becomes unfruitful’ ” (Matthew 13:22, NKJV).

3과 “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사

하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로

모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고

모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여

하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라”(빌 2:9-11).

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him

and given Him the name which is above every name,

that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven,

and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9–11, NKJV).

4과 “재물은 진노하시는 날에 무익하나 공의는 죽음에서 건지느니라…

자기의 재물을 의지하는 자는 패망하려니와

의인은 푸른 잎사귀 같아서 번성하리라”(잠 11:4, 28).

“Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,

but righteousness delivers from death. . . .

He who trusts in his riches will fall,

but the righteous will flourish like foliage” (Proverbs 11:4, 28, NKJV).

5과 “오직 하나님께 옳게 여기심을 입어 복음을 위탁 받았으니

우리가 이와 같이 말함은 사람을 기쁘게 하려 함이 아니요

오직 우리 마음을 감찰하시는 하나님을 기쁘시게 하려 함이라”(살전 2:4).

“On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God

to be entrusted with the gospel.

We are not trying to please people but God,

who tests our hearts” (1 Thess. 2:4, NIV).

6과 “사람이 마땅히 우리를 그리스도의 일꾼이요 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 자로 여길지어다

그리고 맡은 자들에게 구할 것은 충성이니라”(고전 4:1-2).

“Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ

and stewards of the mysteries of God.

Moreover it is required in stewards

that one be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:1, 2, NKJV).

7과 “좋은 땅에 있다는 것은 착하고 좋은 마음으로 말씀을 듣고 지키어

인내로 결실하는 자니라”(눅 8:15).

“ ‘But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest

and good heart, having heard the word, keep it,

and bring forth fruit with patience’ ” (Luke 8:15).

8과 “성전의 일을 하는 이들은 성전에서 나는 것을 먹으며

제단에서 섬기는 이들은 제단과 함께 나누는 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐

이와 같이 주께서도 복음 전하는 자들이

복음으로 말미암아 살리라 명하셨느니라”(고전 9:13-14).

“Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things

of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings

of the altar? Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach

the gospel should live from the gospel” (1 Corinthians 9:13, 14, NKJV).

9과 “하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니

이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라”(요 3:16).

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in Him should not perish

but have everlasting life” (John 3:16, NKJV).

10과 “하나님이 우리를 부르심은 부정하게 하심이 아니요 거룩하게 하심이니”(살전 4:7).

“For God did not call us to be impure,

but to live a holy life” (1 Thessalonians 4:7, NIV).

11과 “모든 자에게 줄 것을 주되 조세를 받을 자에게 조세를 바치고

관세를 받을 자에게 관세를 바치고 두려워할 자를 두려워하며 존경할 자를 존경하라

피차 사랑의 빚 외에는 아무에게든지 아무 빚도 지지 말라

남을 사랑하는 자는 율법을 다 이루었느니라”(롬 13:7-8).

“Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes;

if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another,

for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law” (Romans 13:7, 8, NIV).

12과 “청년이 무엇으로 그의 행실을 깨끗하게 하리이까 주의 말씀만 지킬 따름이니이다

내가 전심으로 주를 찾았사오니 주의 계명에서 떠나지 말게 하소서

내가 주께 범죄하지 아니하려 하여 주의 말씀을 내 마음에 두었나이다”(시 119:9-11).

“How can a young man cleanse his way?

By taking heed according to Your word.

With my whole heart I have sought You;

oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! Your word

I have hidden in my heart,

that I might not sin against You” (Psalm 119:9–11, NKJV).

13과 “너희가 이방인 중에서 행실을 선하게 가져

너희를 악행한다고 비방하는 자들로 하여금 너희 선한 일을 보고 오시는 날에

하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라 ”(벧전 2:12).

“Having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles,

that when they speak against you as evildoers,

they may, by your good works which they observe,

glorify God in the day of visitation” (1 Peter 2:12, NKJV).
